Obria Medical Clinics is a nonprofit women’s healthcare clinic staffed by professional personnel which exists for the benefit of women and their children, both born and unborn, as well as for the fathers. Our work includes providing evidence-based medical information to the woman who faces an unexpected pregnancy, is hurting from a previous abortion, or is in need of sexual\/relational guidance. Likewise, support is available for the father. As a nonprofit, non-political organization, Obria Medical Clinics Gwinnett is funded entirely by private donations and grants.<\/h3>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\tOUR HISTORY\r\n\t<\/h1>\r\n\t

Obria Medical Clinics was founded in 1991. Since that time, pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound scans, STD testing, and education classes have been provided to the community. In order to meet the needs of the growing population, a new patient website was constructed utilizing SEO, and technology was incorporated in the consultation rooms in 2015.<\/h3>\r\n

In 2016, electronic health records were introduced for our patients, a new donor platform was constructed, an accreditation process with AAAHC began, treatment for STDs was implemented, and a a patient blog & social media platforms were launched.<\/h3>\r\n

In 2017, the Clinic moved to a new location, joined the national Obria brand, expanded STD treatment, and began providing well-woman care.<\/h3>\r\n

In 2018, Obria was featured on PBS News Hour and Atlanta Alive, became more involved in the community participating\/volunteering at Unite, One Race, Operation Christmas Child, Cink It Challenge, and the Gwinnett County Homeless Count.\u00a0 Six staff members received training and certification at Ascend.<\/h3>\r\n

In 2019, the clinic received national accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare.<\/h3>\r\n

In 2021, Obria began offering full prenatal care, making it the only nonprofit, nationally accredited women’s clinic in Gwinnett County to offer this service.<\/h3>\r\n

In 2022, Empowered began serving in local private schools and organizations, utilizing a federal grant.<\/h3>\r\n

In 2023, we began offering Mental and Behavioral Health services. Obria also purchased it’s first building, debt free!<\/h3>\r\n
